
As a coach I’ve often observed, one of the first hurdles that must be tackled for my clients is the elephant in the room, and that is BLAME. So many people who are struggling with weight loss or reaching their desired health goals wrestle with the shame that arises from blame. Too often we blame ourselves, but the TRUTH is that by and large, the negative impacts on our health and weight management are largely the result of corporate and societal influences and manipulations. While I won’t elaborate in depth on each of the perpetrators. Be aware of how the food industry, for one, has done a disservice to our health with the rise of diabetes, cancers, and the obesity epidemic all effecting even younger & younger populations now. So no, you are not to blame for how it’s affecting you now. We were not created to struggle with our health. We were created with a purpose, to live, grow and thrive. It’s time to reclaim that purpose – it’s who we are meant to be. So the first step is, remove that barrier of shame and self-guilt. NO more blaming yourself for things out of your control. Now is your time to advance past that boulder, that thing that’s been weighing you down, standing in your way and holding you back from advancing. You need clear vision for the path before you though. And in this world, you must as a consumer, preparer and consumer of food be aware. You don’t know what you don’t know. That’s where I come in as a health coach. I’ve been extensively trained, keeping up with the latest scientific studies, and live it in my own personal life to then be able to translate that into meaningful and educational tools you can apply in your own life. There’s a path and a journey ahead of you, past the guilt-trip, let’s journey down that path together to get you going with no looking back.
